Do I need to install a driver or set a speed on the interface to get it utilize the port properly? Brett Code:. I added commas to make it easier to see I'm not a linux guru, but shouldn't it auto-negotiate?
Does this show that it negotiated 10G? Why does ifconfig show 1G, and the actual speeds are so low? Last edited: Feb 7, Chris Proxmox Staff Member. Jan 2, 58 Hi, bferrell said:. RX errors dropped overruns 0 frame Chris - Then why is ifconfig report this?
Any recommendations on what to look at? Both PVE nodes are dropping a lot of packets and not delivering 1G, even though they're directly connected to a 10G switch in the rack, and my Mac on the other side of the house has no issues doing Gbps I haven't modified the network settings other than LAG the 2 10G ports.
It's unlikely that both nodes have bad cables, and their very short runs, so I don't even have a theory on why these boxes are dropping packets.Forums New posts Search forums. Is there something special which I need to do? I would imagine it uses the bnx2x driver, but unsure. I attempted to "modprobe bnx2x" without any luck.
It looks like the kernel is loading the module, but something just isn't right. Last edited: Oct 1, Oct 28, 1, 30 68 Calgary, Canada www. Obviously the card works in Linux since you can already see it in CentOS.
Did you try to install Debian or Ubuntu and see your card is recognized? Dont think Enterprise repo will do any good since drivers are included in all versions of PVE i believe.Unifi client high dns latency

That's where I get confused, proxmox is based on the rhel kernel, so it should have similar drivers. Isnt Proxmox Debian based? Never bothered to look at the Kernel itself.

At STH we test hundreds of hardware combinations each year. From this experience, we are going to keep a running log of the best FreeNAS hardware components. We are going to focus this guide on FreeNAS servers with under 30 storage devices and will periodically update the listing.
With that said, we have a few tips in terms of which network cards to use with FreeNAS. This is even if it is a single 10GbE connection to a 1GbE switch. Intel released a lower cost i part that we generally suggest sticking with the i over the lower numbered parts. The Intel i is low single digit dollars in terms of cost and is a lower feature set 1GbE single port controller. We strongly suggest i or i based NICs.
The Intel i is a reduced feature set of the i controller. If you are using older hardware, this is still an option, however, we suggest moving to the newer NICs at this point. With 10Gbase-T power consumption is a major concern. Stick to the newer X cards if possible. Here are our top picks:. The Chelsio T cards are going to be the best bets for performance. The Intel XL card is going to be the lowest power of the group.
Realistically, we say get Chelsio, and if that is not possible, get Intel. A wildcard is Mellanox as sometimes they are the most affordable options. Coming soon — we will likely update this with 25GbE and 50GbE options in the near future.
We have heard work is ongoing improving performance above 40GbE and so we will issue top picks recommendations in late Q4 as FreeNAS gets better tuning for these speeds.

All Proxmox VE tools try hard to keep direct user modifications, but using the GUI is still preferable, because it protects you from errors. Once the network is configured, you can use the Debian traditional tools ifup and ifdown commands to bring interfaces up and down.
This also allows to ensure your changes are correct before applying, as a wrong network configuration may render a node inaccessible.
With the default installed ifupdown network managing package you need to reboot to commit any pending network changes.Bond Configuration with Proxmox VE
Most of the time, the basic Proxmox VE network setup is stable and does not change often, so rebooting should not be required often. With the optional ifupdown2 network managing package you also can reload the network configuration live, without requiring a reboot. Since Proxmox VE 6. You can also switch back to the ifupdown variant at any time, if you run into issues. This naming scheme is used for new Proxmox VE installations since version 5.
When upgrading to 5.
This makes it easier to debug networks problems, because the device name implies the device type. Systemd uses the two character prefix en for Ethernet network devices. The next characters depends on the device driver and the fact which schema matches first. For more information see Predictable Network Interface Names.
Depending on your current network organization and your resources you can choose either a bridged, routed, or masquerading networking setup. The Bridged model makes the most sense in this case, and this is also the default mode on new Proxmox VE installations. Each of your Guest system will have a virtual interface attached to the Proxmox VE bridge. This is similar in effect to having the Guest network card directly connected to a new switch on your LAN, the Proxmox VE host playing the role of the switch.
For this setup, you can use either a Bridged or Routed model, depending on what your provider allows. In that case the only way to get outgoing network accesses for your guest systems is to use Masquerading.
For incoming network access to your guests, you will need to configure Port Forwarding. That way it is possible to build complex and flexible virtual networks. Bridges are like physical network switches implemented in software. All virtual guests can share a single bridge, or you can create multiple bridges to separate network domains. Each host can have up to bridges.
The installation program creates a single bridge named vmbr0which is connected to the first Ethernet card. Virtual machines behave as if they were directly connected to the physical network. The network, in turn, sees each virtual machine as having its own MAC, even though there is only one network cable connecting all of these VMs to the network. Most hosting providers do not support the above setup. For security reasons, they disable networking as soon as they detect multiple MAC addresses on a single interface.
This makes sure that all network packets use the same MAC address. A common scenario is that you have a public IP assume We recommend the following setup for such situations:. Masquerading allows guests having only a private IP address to access the network by using the host IP address for outgoing traffic. Each outgoing packet is rewritten by iptables to appear as originating from the host, and responses are rewritten accordingly to be routed to the original sender.Forums New posts Search forums.

Hopefully not mixing 10G and 1G connections on 10G switch Good point - I had a cable connected to a 1GB switch for my initial switch configuration. However, no difference with only 10GB connections.
And even more strange that there is no problem doing 10GB when connected to the Buffalo NIC, even with both the x and a 1GB cable connected to the switch.

Any you cannot beat the prices and flexibility. The online interface just works. If you have a Sprint phone and a Sprint SIM, just bring it over.
Activation happens in under a minute. The network is as good as the postpaid Sprint network. I use this for a backup phone.
Make sure you use your phone at least once in 3 months, leave it on airplane mode and on wifi otherwise and you have a backup phone that you can turn on and use in an emergency. This has been a great cell phone service and very affordable for my family.
My two sons are in college and they have Tello, so with that, thank you for the awesome service and for taking care of us!!!. Their customer service is outstanding, if you ever have to call them a real person answers the phone and makes sure you are satisfied before you hang up. Love love love this company My phone recently suffered water damage, so I bought a new one and tried to switch service over.
The website said I needed a new SIM card, but I didn't believe it because both phones take nano Sprint SIMs. I contacted support via chat, and they were able to explain not only that the website was correct, but that different model phones require different SKUs of Sprint SIM card to operate on the Sprint network.

The RAV4 has made astonishing improvements to the RAV4 since the early 2000s when my brother-in-law owned one. Stylish, modern, high tech and smooth ride. It was too good to pass up. This is my fourth Toyota and Toyota has consistently proved to be reliable vehicles. Report Abuse Read All Reviews My New RAV4 I bought my new 2017 RAV4 SE the end of December 2016.
I sold my 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300 4 Matic and wanted an SUV because I retired and want to play in a band and neeed room for my drums. I chose Toyota because they are so reliable. I love this SUV but I'm sorry that I didn't get the Hybrid because the gas mileage is NOT good (very disappointed). The ride and comfort is excellent and the visability is great. The blind spot alert could have been better, it lights up yellow rather than bright Red and doesn't beep when a car is in the blind spot and you have the blinker on.
All in all it's a great SUV except for the gas mileage. Report Abuse Read All Reviews 2017 RAV4 Light Years Ahead of Older Model We compared both the new 2017 Mazda CX-5 and the RAV4 and while both are excellent compact SUVs, my wife preferred the lower dashboard and simpler console of the RAV4, so that's how we went.
The new XLE version is so much quieter than our older 2011 RAV4 and has a much improved ride. On the mechanical side, the RAV has real good pickup and has kept us in the 30-31 mpg range on our two highway trips thus far.
For an AWD vehicle that's not too shabby. Overall we are extremely pleased with our purchase.
Given Toyota's legendary reliability, we expect to enjoy the RAV4 for quite some time. The transport was a mini bus taking 16 of us comfortably from site to site with various comfort stops on the way. There is a little walking to be done for example up to Dettifoss that cannot be avoided but all the walks were really strolls and nothing over taxing. The evening meals that were provided as part of the package were either in the accommodation or at local restaurants and were of a very high quality.
There are optional extra's such as Whale Watching and the Thermal baths which although we pre booked could be booked on the tour. Transfer back to the airport was provided. In summary this was a very well organised tour both before leaving home and whilst there. The program is varied and interesting, capturing all the major attractions.
Would highly recommend the tour to anyone wanting to see the main sites but not do all the legwork of a self drive. A friend and I (who live in Australia and UK respectively) were keen to do a self drive tour of Iceland as we could have autonomy and flexibility and avoid the tour bus hordes. We found Nordic Visitor through Google and I'm so glad we did.
We chose the 10 day Full Circle tour - which comes with a rental car, pre booked accommodation, detailed road map, local mobile phone, GPS and many suggestions for destinations and activities. We opted for a 4x4 vehicle (highly recommended as there is a fair amount of off-roading) and budget accommodation which was pretty much guesthouses. That's part of the deal anywhere really. There is so much to say about the trip itself so feel free to send a message if you want more info.
Nearly all the arrangements went without a hitch and what didn't go smoothly wasn't due to Nordic Visitor getting it wrong and indeed didn't ruin the trip at all (eg the guesthouse in Reykjavik wasn't aware of my travelling companion's very early arrival and were not prepared).
My only negative comment is some of the worthwhile sights might not be on their recommended itinerary so do a little research of your own. Also a bit more time (a day perhaps) in the north east of the country would have been ideal.
I dropped by their office in Reykjavik at the end of the tour (a little tricky to find as it is tucked away on the edge of town) and was pleasantly surprised by a request to do a brief video of our tour highlights for other travellers. I received a beautiful hardcover book of Icelandic photographs for my trouble. Iceland is a Josie, Puerto Rico Iceland Grand Tour, July 2015 16 amazing days in Iceland Not only did Nordic Visitor delivered on everything that was needed, all the extra tours that were booked by them exceeded our expectations.
